An interest in exploring different sound worlds has always run through the music of Serbian guitarist Vukašin Đelić. His creative process has gone through various phases, starting from early 2000’s where he approached the guitar as a receiver, much like a radio. Using objects and devices such as mobile phones, diskmans, media players, computer equipment and other battery powered utilities, he composed music based almost solely on these frequencies and interferrences. The results were recordings he released during the period between 2006 and 2012.
During that time, he played numerous concerts around Europe and USA, along with visual artist Incredible Bob. Their A/V shows were famous for using analog video feedback and organic electronic music to create mesmerizing, dreamy audio visual psychedelia.
After those six years, his focus has shifted towards improvisational methodologies and collaborations with various musicians. His group Belgrade Noise was exclusively improvised and dedicated their existence to invite different musicians to collaborate on a material that would be performed on concerts around the region and Europe.
He was part of ImprovE collective that organized montly events of improvised music.
In 2016. he formed Dol, a band inspired by road movies, travel literature, early blues and folk music but also by motorik beats and swirling sounds and melodies. Band has two releases and is working on third.
In his solo works, all these worlds often collide and make up something new. Either playing guitar and drums or exploring the wild side of samplers and synths, his music flows through all these different fields and spaces.
