
Pavle Popvić completed his bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade; he previously studied (2015-2017) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt with Michael Sanderling and Jan Ickert. In 2018 he won the audition for the Tutti-Cello in the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. Pavle has been a member of Ensemble Metamorphosis since 2018.
From 2019 to 2022, Pavle was a scholarship holder of the Albert Eckstein Foundation in Ulm. The foundation generously provided him with cellos by Joseph Anton Haff and Antonio Rovetta for his personal use. As an orchestral and chamber musician, Pavle has participated in numerous internationally renowned festivals, such as the 29th, 30th and 31st International Survey of Composers (Belgrade), the 26th Ring Ring Festival (Belgrade), the Piano Loop Festival (Split), the Music Weeks Millstatt, the 4th Music Days (Feldafing), the Pantopia Festival Vol. 2 (Berlin), KlangArt-Vision (Magdeburg) and several times (2015-2019) in the chamber music course ‘colluvio’ at Gut Hornegg, Austria. In addition to his career as a classical musician, Pavle is also active in the field of jazz and world music - as a member of the Quinary Jasna Jovićević and the Art Family Ensemble.
