Anna Grenzner is a cellist specialized in contemporary music and improviser who expands the borders of her music-making towards the interaction with movement, performance, text and thought. She studied her masters in the University of Arts of Graz with Klangforum Wien and her Bachelor in the Liceu Conservatory of Barcelona. Anna is cellist and artistic co-director of the LaKT Ensemble for choreo-musical research and performs regularly in Austria and in Spain as ensemble and chamber musician. Member of the ensembles LaKT, Arxis, Zeitfluss, Legami trio or STIO, she has performed in festivals such as Kultursommer Wien, Musikprotokoll Graz, Festival Ensems, Klangspuren Schwaz or Resis. She received the scholarship Startstipendium für Musik from BMKÖS in 2023 as well as a grant for pursuing the program Creation and Scenario in Music from ZHdK in Zürich in 2024, and was selected as a scholarship holder for the Akademie Kontemporär 2023 in Hamburg. Anna works on her improvised music through organic processes that create and manifest fragile relations between multiple elements of an ecosystem.
